Job Summary

IAR Systems is the leading embedded software development tools vendor, with over 47,000 customers across the globe, in a vast range of markets including automotive, consumer, industrial and medical. With the ability to impact entire industries we are seeking a dynamic and revenue-driven head of regional cyber security sales, in concert with our Secure Thingz operating company.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue of our cyber security products for embedded systems, assisting in the development of strategy and goals, and focusing on delivering aggressive financial and consumer satisfaction goals. It is expected that the candidate will leverage the company’s extensive contacts to identify and influence the decision-makers, working with stakeholders at CxO and technical executive level.

Job Responsibilities

As the leader in Cyber Security Sales (EMEA), your duties will include but are not limited to:

Revenue Execution

  • Deliver revenue of more than $1M+ per annum based on agreed targets
  • Support and liaise with existing mainstream IAR Systems sales team to support cyber security opportunities
  • Identify major global organization currently using our development tools and introduce the advanced cyber security platforms
  • Support deal-making with multiple stakeholders within target clients, including but not limited to: - CxO, CISO, Security Officers, VP Engineering, Office of CTO, Operations, Product Management, alongside engineering and engineering management
  • Engage regional programming partners to enhance secure supply chain provisioning revenue
  • Identify and support regional channel partners, including global distributors

Business Development

  • To assist in the development and implementation of differentiated Go-To-Market plans
  • Define and evolve revenue planning with both regional and Secure Thingz leadership
  • Support customer input into current roadmap & requirements
  • Identify new and adjacent revenue opportunities within the embedded systems cyber security domain
  • Identify and support development of ecosystem partners to enable customer success



  • The role will be the face of Secure Thingz and our product offering within the region, and hence the leadership of the candidate will reflect strongly on the potential customer base.
  • As the primary sales owner for cyber security within the region and the candidate will be the go-to person for the local sales team, supporting existing channel sales.
  • The candidate will work closely with a technology focused Field Applications Engineer but will retain account management and local decision making at all times.
  • The candidate will receive high levels of visibility with the regional leadership, Secure Thingz leadership, and IAR Systems Group leadership.
  • Ownership of regional conferences and events, whilst working closely with regional and global marketing comms teams

Skills Requirement






Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent qualification or experience.


10+ years prior experience in highly technical sales within software or technology industry.

Understand the impact of cyber security in the embedded systems market

Proven track record in sales at senior level with deal size of $50,000+

Proven track record in building strategic relationships with CxO

Demonstrable leadership experience

Experience managing budgets

Knowledge of companies developing embedded systems (e.g. IoT, IIoT, M2M)


Knowledge of IoT and cyber security marketplace

Proven track record in sales of cyber security products, software, or systems

Knowledge of semiconductor industry and ecosystem

Knowledge of communication industry and ecosystem

Tools Experience

MS Office tools, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel specifically.


Strong relationship and influencing skills

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Strong ability to manage multiple competing demands

Europe travel to support Sales and Business Development activities.

Excellent time management

Good written and spoke English

Occasional global travel to support Sales and Business Development activities.
