Director of Product Marketing / Management

In this role, you will be responsible for Secure Thingz overall strategy and goals, helping to define the vision for the product and collaborating with other departments to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are achieved. You will be given line management responsibilities in this role.

Job Responsibilities

As the Director of Product Marketing / Management, your duties will include but are not limited to:


Leadership responsibilities

  • In this capacity, you must oversee and ensure that the functions of the product marketing / management team members are efficiently and effectively executed
  • Demonstrate professionalism and market leadership across the leadership team, ensuring the customer is central to discussions.
  • Ensure alignment with key stakeholders across the business, and critical third-party partners including silicon vendors, distributors, customers.

Product Development

  • Own and manage roadmaps across all product ranges
  • Evolve and enhance mid and long-term strategic roadmaps
  • Ensure completive analysis of vendors in current and adjacent markets, including SWOT analysis
  • Development of technical marketing collateral including presentations and white papers, etc.

Business Development

  • Identify effective adjacent markets for existing and new products & services.
  • Managing the product lifecycle starting with product definition through approvals, development, release and maintenance, with a focus on ROI engagement.
  • Ensuring market requirements are translated effectively into engineering product requirements.
  • Working closely with engineering teams worldwide to ensure product features and engineering schedules are signed off against the business plan.
  • Technical schedules are monitored and feature trade-offs made where necessary against the business plan.

External Facing duties

Note that occasional travel may be required to perform a number of the external facing duties

  • Identify & nurture critical partner activities across silicon partners, production partners, clous partners and others.
  • Management of collaborative relationships with customers in conjunction with sales and FAEs to secure design wins.
  • Analysis of the competitive landscape with benchmarks and product positioning messaging.
  • Development of strategies to explore new markets or expand existing ones and secure key industry and OEM endorsements.

Recruitment & Mentoring

  • To mentor more junior engineers in the development of a feature.
  • To participate in the technical parts of interviews.



Skills Requirement






Masters in Product Management/Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent qualification or experience.


10+ years prior experience in product management in a technical industry.

Understand the relevance of micro-controllers and the embedded systems market

Proven track record in product planning

Defining and launching successful products

Demonstrable leadership experience

Experience managing budgets

Knowledge of semi-conductor companies and silicon vendors

Comfortable developing sales and marketing collateral e.g. presentations, white papers etc.

Knowledge of IoT and Security marketplace

Significant brand experience including the development of brand strategies, ability to define and make relative to potential customers, in a way that resonates with the development team.

Familiar with Patents and Intellectual Property.


Tools Experience

MS Office tools, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel specifically.

Knowledge of product management tools

Experience of using JIRA, Confluence, and other Engineering platforms.


Strong relationship and influencing skills

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Strong ability to manage multiple competing demands

Excellent time management

Willingness to travel worldwide to support Sales, Business Development and Marketing activities.
