Main responsibilities and goal

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is accountable for the value proposition, packaging, messaging, and positioning of his/her product portfolio. You are a subject matter expert in your field and have a passion for technology, strategy, marketing, and evangelization of your solutions. You are the one who knows the buyer personas inside out, competition, and industry trends. You orchestrate every product launch/release and act as the company spokesperson for your portfolio. The role is accountable for establishing and developing practices and influencing and advising internally. The position also needs to provide a transparent and predictable M&C plan tied to the Product Roadmap for M&C execution quarterly, including targets and objectives.

Your closest team members will be the Chief Marketing Communications Officer and his/her team, the global field marketing and FAE managers. Still, you will equally work with the Product Managers, developers, and sales. Externally, you will work with partners and interact with media outlets through the AR/PR-channel. To network and make good internal and external relations is a part of your job.



As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you are responsible for accomplishing the following job assignments:


  • Defining and developing the storytelling dimension of IAR’s future vision, selling solutions, and representing his/her product portfolio.
  • Own and develop the value proposition, messaging, positioning, and packaging.
  • Influence pricing/licensing/add-ons and services based on insight/intel.
  • Own and develop partner marketing programs to and fromIAR:s friends in the ecosystem and build and nurture relationships with the same.
  • Produce reference cases and thought leadership pieces focused on quantifiable benefits and/or future trends.
  • Own and develop buying persona descriptions (roles, pain points, reasons to buy, etc.), segmentation/verticalization, and channel overview (where they hang out) by territory (EMEA, NA, APAC).
  • Be the compete-watchdog in the solution area he/she is accountable for.
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation techniques and demo to large and small audiences, comfortable on camera (webinar, digital events).
  • QA on all collaterals (marketing/readiness/corpcoms).
  • Work closely with PM and Dev from roadmap to individual product launch.
  • Own channel readiness (internal and external) related to launch (content production and distribution to various audiences, focused on adoption).
  • Has the ability to foster a business-centric approach in meetings with PM and Dev.
  • Own and develop a product P&L together with PM and F&A.
  • Own and develop an integrated annual sales and marketing plan (which requires recurring reviews in-flight)
  • Wants to shape the market as opposed to following the stream. 
  • Support sales in strategic pursuits/renewals/cross- or up-sell + customer care to improve customer sat for his/her products.
  • Has the ability actively contribute to the organization's transformation, turning sales into a solution selling muscle.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing colleague(s) to build and develop a better-together offering for IAR:s complete portfolio, including storytelling.
  • Is proactively contributing and driving campaign creation in support of all M&C objectives.



Together with the CMCO- and Sales teams, you will become a significant part of developing and forming the Marketing & Communications agenda at IAR Systems. You have budget responsibility.
